Calcite is the most common form of natural calcium carbonate. Calcium Carbonate minerals are the most important and abundant of all sedimentary rocks. It occurs in crystalline form in white colour. It is many times associated with varying proportion of magnesium carbonate.

Typical Applications:

I) Surface Coatings (Paint Industries): manufacturer of primers, emulsion paints (both interior and exterior), dry distemperes, powder coating.

II) Chemical Industry : Basic raw material to produce Calcium Salts after treating with acids.

III) Electrical Industries : A filler in Rubber Compounds required in the manufacture of PVC cables.

IV) Electrode: As an ingredient of flux for making arc welding electrodes.

V) Glass : As flux and helps quicker fusion of Silica grains at lower temperature.
